Proof of tax return no longer required for 13 services
Ease for small investors, cardholders, and professionals

Starting this fiscal year, taxpayers will no longer need to provide proof of income tax return submission to access 13 specific public and private sector services, according to a new government directive.
Previously, individuals were required to submit documentation confirming their most recent tax return filings to avail these services. The move is expected to simplify access for small investors, professionals, and general taxpayers.
The 13 services now exempt from tax return proof include:

Issuing new trade licences in city corporation or municipal areas

Applying for or renewing credit cards of any type

Purchasing savings certificates up to Tk10 lakh

Opening or maintaining fixed deposit receipts (FDRs) up to Tk10 lakh

Obtaining general insurance surveyor licences

Registering cooperative societies

Gaining professional memberships in bodies such as for doctors, dentists, lawyers, chartered accountants, cost accountants, chartered secretaries, actuaries, engineers, architects, and surveyors

Receiving government payments via MPO enlistment for employees in 10th grade or higher

Opening post office savings accounts exceeding Tk5 lakh

Earning commissions through mobile financial services, mobile banking, electronic money transfers, or mobile recharge operations

Obtaining licences for stamp vendors or deed writers

Registering, transferring ownership of, or renewing fitness certificates for three-wheeled motor vehicles

Securing e-commerce licences from authorised agencies
