In a Facebook post, the US Embassy in Dhaka conveyed its congratulations to the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its leader, Tarique Rahman, on their “historic victory.”
“The United States looks forward to working with you to advance our shared goals of prosperity and security for both our nations,” the statement added.
