Shakib Khan Set to Star in ‘Mohabbat’

Popular Dhallywood actor Shakib Khan is set to headline a new film titled “Mohabbat”, marking his reunion with director Himel Ashraf and producer Arshad Adnan more than two years after their successful collaboration on “Priyotoma”.

Shakib Khan unveiled the first poster of “Mohabbat” on Thursday evening, immediately generating excitement among fans.

“Sometimes, love comes with a price, a promise, and a fight. Introducing ‘Mohabbat’. The beginning of a new story, a new journey. See you next Eid-ul-Adha!” Shakib wrote in the caption accompanying the poster.

The poster shows a man dressed in black standing beside a woman in white. Wearing a long black coat and holding a firearm, the man appears amid spent bullet casings and bloodstains, while a red orna flutters beside the woman. A blood-stained section of a car is also visible in the scene.

The imagery hints at a storyline blending romance with action, danger and mystery.

The identity of the woman in the poster, however, remains undisclosed. The filmmakers have yet to announce the female lead opposite Shakib Khan, making her casting one of the film’s key mysteries.

Shakib was last seen in “Rockstar”, released during the most recent Eid-ul-Azha, where he portrayed a singer. In “Mohabbat”, he is expected to appear in a different avatar, with the film combining romantic and action elements.

The film is being produced by Arshad Adnan, who previously worked with Shakib Khan and Himel Ashraf on “Priyotoma”. Their earlier collaboration attracted significant audience interest and went on to become a notable success.

Himel Ashraf also announced the project on social media, writing, “Sometimes a price must be paid for love; at times it is a vow, and at others, a battle.” He described “Mohabbat” as “the beginning of a new journey for a new story.”

“Mohabbat” is scheduled to hit cinemas during Eid-ul-Azha next year.
