Jovan, Keya, Payel Star in Dark Comedy Thriller ‘Taka’

Popular television actors Farhan Ahmed Jovan and Keya Payel are coming together for a dark comedy thriller titled Taka, written and directed by Tarique Rahman. The duo will take on the lead roles in this distinctive production that explores the darker sides of human greed and ambition.

What lengths will people go to for the love of money? Some follow the honest path, while others choose shortcuts. With this intriguing premise, Taka delves into the moral gray zones shaped by the pursuit of wealth.

Jovan’s character is said to embody psychological depth and a sharp touch of dark humor—an element the director believes will surprise audiences.

The drama also features Shiba Sanu, Don Haque, Arman Parvez Murad, AK Azad Setu, Parvez Sumon, and Saimum Sajid in supporting roles.

Speaking about the project, director Tarique Rahman said, “Dark comedy thrillers are still a relatively new genre in Bangladesh. Taka will offer viewers a fresh and different experience.”

The technical team includes Sumon Hossain as cinematographer, Said Nafis as music director, Kamruzzaman Sumon as art director, and Masud Rana as makeup artist.

Produced by Jago Entertainment, the project is led by producer Nazmul Huda Shapla, with Masud Munsur serving as executive producer and Uday Chowdhury as production coordinator.

Taka is scheduled to premiere on November 20 on Jago Entertainment’s official YouTube channel.
