Customs houses to operate on a limited scale during Eid holidays
Customs houses to operate on a limited scale during Eid holidays.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has instructed all customs houses and stations to keep import and export activities running on a limited scale during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
According to an NBR circular issued yesterday, the directive will be effective during the public and weekly holidays from March 17 to March 23, except on the day of Eid.
The NBR has asked officials to take necessary measures to ensure that the country’s trade activities remain uninterrupted during the festive period.
The decision was taken following a request from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) to facilitate trade and maintain the supply chain during the extended holiday.
