The President is scheduled to address Parliament at 2:00pm

The first session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad began at 11:00am on Thursday.

According to sources at the Parliament Secretariat, President Mohammed Shahabuddin is scheduled to address the House at 2:00pm, with his speech expected to last around 40 minutes.

Under the Constitution, Parliament must be convened within 30 days of the announcement of election results. In line with this requirement, the inaugural session of the 13th Parliament has been called nearly a month after the general election results were declared.
