Dammam’s King Fahd Airport Resumes Normal Operations
Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said on Thursday that operations at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam have resumed, with air traffic returning to normal following a Houthi attack on Wednesday evening.
In a social media statement, GACA also identified the two people killed in the attack as a Saudi citizen and an Indian national residing in the kingdom.
“The deceased are a Saudi citizen and a resident of Indian nationality,” the authority said.
Eight people were injured in the incident, including one Saudi citizen and seven foreign residents: two each from India, Yemen and Bangladesh, and one from Nepal.
“Their injuries range from minor to severe, and they are currently receiving necessary medical care in a number of hospitals,” GACA stated.
The authority added that efforts were underway to assess the damage caused to the airport and ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
