Khaleda Zia participates in Armed Forces Day ceremony at Senakunja
She was joined by her family members.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia attended the Armed Forces Day ceremony at Senakunja on Thursday.
Her motorcade left her Gulshan residence, Feroza, around 3:30 pm, as reported by BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan. Party sources indicated that she was accompanied by her family members, including the wife of her late younger son, Arafat Rahman Koko.
The invitation for the event was extended to Khaleda Zia by Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lt Gen Mizanur Rahman Shamim and Principal Staff Officer (PSO) Lt Gen ASM Kamrul Ahsan during a meeting at her residence on Tuesday night.
BNP Standing Committee Member and Khaleda Zia's personal physician, Prof AZM Zahid Hossain, mentioned, “They personally visited the former prime minister to deliver the invitation.”
Other prominent figures, including Dr. Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser of Senakunja, are also expected to attend the event.
