Devastating floods along the China-Nepal border have killed at least 1,259 people in Nepal, while the number of missing has surged to 5,083, according to the country’s disaster management authority.
Chinese state media reported 21 deaths and 541 people missing in Tibet, bringing the overall toll from the August 26 disaster to 1,280 dead and 5,624 missing across Nepal and China.
