Zubaida Rushes to Khaleda’s Side at Evercare Hospital

Zubaida Rahman, daughter-in-law of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, visited the ailing former prime minister at Dhaka’s Evercare Hospital, where she has been under critical care for over two weeks.

She arrived at the hospital on Saturday afternoon after leaving her parents’ residence in Dhanmondi, BNP media cell official Atiqur Rahman Rumman told bdnews24.com. “She reached Evercare Hospital at 3:38pm and is now at the party chief’s bedside in the CCU,” he said.

Zubaida, wife of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, returned to Dhaka from London on Friday to accompany her mother-in-law abroad for advanced treatment. A physician by profession and a member of Khaleda’s medical board, she had previously joined consultations virtually but is now attending in person following her arrival.

Party sources said she has been closely monitoring Khaleda’s condition at all times, even when away from the hospital.
