Two government advisers visit International Crimes Tribunal to review renovation work

Law Advisor Asif Nazrul and Housing and Public Works Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan inspected renovation work at the main building of the International Crimes Tribunal on Tuesday morning at 8:30am.
They were accompanied by Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman, Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam, Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim, and several others.
The tribunal is currently conducting trials of crimes against humanity committed during the July Uprising. Formal charges have already been framed in several cases, and witness testimony is underway. In one case against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, testimony has reached its concluding stage.
Proceedings are ongoing at Tribunal-1 and Tribunal-2. However, since renovation of the main building is still incomplete, Tribunal-2 hearings continue to take place in a temporary tin shed.
