Bangladesh Dispatches Second Emergency Aid Mission to Myanmar

Bangladesh has sent a second consignment of emergency medicines and relief supplies to assist victims of the devastating earthquake in Myanmar.

Following the directive of Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus, the aid was transported on Tuesday morning via three aircraft operated by the Bangladesh Army (BA) and Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), as confirmed by CA's Deputy Press Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.

The mission includes rescue and medical teams comprising experts from all three services, along with Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) doctors, Bangladesh Army (BA) doctors, and civilian medical professionals.

A total of 55 rescuers and doctors are part of the mission, supported by 37 crew members across the three aircraft.

The teams are equipped with self-sustaining essentials, including rations, hygiene supplies, communication devices, and cooking utensils.

Additionally, the aid package includes:

8 tons of dry food

2.5 tons of drinking water

4 tons of medicine

1 ton of hygiene products

1.5 tons of relief tents

Earlier, on Sunday, Bangladesh had dispatched its first emergency relief mission, which included medicines, tents, dry food, and medical teams, facilitated by the Bangladesh Armed Forces under the leadership of the Bangladesh Army.
