US Navy Warship Docks in Bangladesh on Goodwill Mission: ISPR
Earlier, a US Navy vessel visited Bangladesh on a goodwill mission in 2022.

The United States Navy destroyer USS Fitzgerald arrived in Bangladesh on Wednesday for a three-day goodwill visit.
According to a press release from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Bangladesh Navy ship BNS Abu Ubaidah received the vessel upon arrival, with officers from both navies exchanging greetings. Representatives from the US Embassy in Dhaka were also present at the event.
A US Navy ship had previously visited Bangladesh on a goodwill mission in 2022.
The current visit aims to strengthen professional ties through the exchange of knowledge, experience, and expertise. ISPR stated that the goodwill mission would provide naval personnel from both countries with a platform to share professional insights, explore future training opportunities, and promote mutual cooperation — thereby deepening bilateral relations.
The USS Fitzgerald is scheduled to depart Bangladeshi waters on October 10.
