The trial for the Magura child rape case is set to commence within a week, according to Asif Nazrul.

Law adviser Asif Nazrul has stated that the trial of the rape case involving a child who died after being assaulted while visiting her sister's home in Magura will commence within the next week.
Speaking at a press briefing at his office in the secretariat at 3:00 PM today, he confirmed that the autopsy report would be available by Thursday through special arrangements, while the DNA report is expected within the next five days. Based on these reports, the trial is set to begin within seven days.
Nazrul emphasized that there have been past instances where rape cases were resolved within a week. If the trial starts on time, the judge will be able to deliver justice swiftly. He noted that circumstantial evidence is available, and once the DNA and autopsy reports are in, the legal proceedings will move forward as quickly as possible to ensure strict punishment for the perpetrators.
When asked about the duration of the trial, he responded that while it is difficult to predict an exact timeframe, there have been cases where trials were completed in seven to eight days.
Nazrul also revealed that a new law is in the process of being formulated and may be finalized by Sunday or Monday. Additionally, a special tribunal will be established under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act to handle cases of child rape.
The adviser assured that the state is prioritizing the case and urged the public to remain vigilant against those attempting to incite unrest over the incident. He warned that no form of anarchy would be tolerated and encouraged constructive feedback if any mistakes were made, stating that the government is committed to accountability and correcting any future errors.
He reaffirmed that the government is taking the case seriously, with the suspects already in custody, and assured that there will be exemplary punishment for those responsible for the crime.
