Tarique Rahman said Lord Krishna’s legacy symbolizes the triumph of justice over injustice

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has lauded Lord Krishna for upholding justice, truth, and human welfare by standing against injustice and misrule.

In a message on the occasion of Janmashtami, he said Lord Krishna’s efforts to vanquish wrongdoers have left a profound and enduring mark on human civilization, according to a BNP press release signed by Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday.

“The teachings and deeds of Lord Krishna inspire oppressed people everywhere to resist tyranny and injustice,” Tarique Rahman observed, adding that Krishna’s timeless message continues to resonate with those striving for justice.

Extending warm greetings to the Hindu community, he wished them peace, prosperity, and well-being. He underscored the significance of Janmashtami, saying it marks the birth of Lord Krishna, who came into the world to end the reign of evil forces.

“Janmashtami is not only a religious festival but also a symbol of unity and brotherhood, bringing people together across divisions,” he said. “It fosters solidarity and instills sincerity within society.”

Tarique Rahman further noted that the essence of all religions lies in promoting peace, harmony, and human welfare. “Religious tolerance has long been an integral part of Bangladesh’s culture, where people of all faiths have coexisted peacefully for centuries,” he said.

He reaffirmed that BNP remains committed to preserving this tradition of mutual respect and communal harmony across all sections of society.
