Stranded aircraft cleared from Chattogram runway after two-hour delay

The Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-138, which had become stranded on the runway at Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport, was successfully removed after about two hours, allowing the runway to resume operations.
Airport spokesperson Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil told Prothom Alo that the flight, arriving from Madinah with 387 passengers, landed at 9:30 am but became stuck at the end of Runway 23 due to a mechanical issue. The aircraft was cleared from the runway around 11:20 am after the fault was addressed.
One of the passengers, Dost Mohammad—who was returning home after performing Hajj—told Prothom Alo over the phone that it was raining heavily during the landing. He said the aircraft became stuck while attempting a U-turn on the runway.
Airport sources confirmed that air traffic returned to normal once the runway was cleared.
