Shab-e-Qadr will be observed tomorrow night.

The sacred night of Shab-e-Qadr, also known as Lailatul Qadr (the Night of Decree), will be observed across the country tomorrow (Thursday) night. It marks the night when the first verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

Muslims will spend the night engaged in special prayers, reciting the Holy Quran, participating in zikr, and performing other religious rituals. They will seek the blessings of Almighty Allah for a long life, peace, and prosperity for themselves, their families, loved ones, the nation, and the Muslim Ummah.

Friday will be observed as a public holiday.

Newspapers will feature special articles, while state-run Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television, and private TV channels will air special programs highlighting the significance of Lailatul Qadr.

As mentioned in the Holy Quran, this night is greater than a thousand nights, as angels and the divine spirit descend with the decrees of Almighty Allah.

Considered one of the holiest and most blessed nights, Shab-e-Qadr is believed to fall on one of the odd-numbered nights in the last ten days of Ramadan, most commonly on the 27th night of the holy month.

On this night, many devotees visit graveyards to pray for the eternal peace of their departed loved ones.

For Muslims, Ramadan is a time of spiritual growth, marked by fasting, prayers, Quran recitation, and acts of charity.

Following the Taraweeh prayers, mosques across the country, including the National Mosque, will hold Waz-mahfils, Milad and Doa-mahfils, and special Munajats.
