CA to deliver a speech at the Boao Forum in China tomorrow.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is set to speak at the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference tomorrow.
According to Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, he will address the opening plenary of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 at approximately 11:30 AM local time. Other prominent speakers at the session, held at the BFA International Convention Center in Hainan, include Lao PDR Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, China’s Executive Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, Boao Forum Chairman Ban Ki-moon, and Secretary General Zhang Jun.
Later in the day, at 2 PM local time, Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Qu Dongyu will meet with the Bangladesh Chief Adviser. Prof. Yunus is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia will meet with the Bangladesh Chief Adviser.
Prof. Yunus arrived in China today for a four-day official visit. His special flight landed at Qionghai Boao International Airport in Hainan at approximately 4:15 PM (Bangladesh Standard Time), where he was welcomed by Bangladesh’s Ambassador to China, Md Nazmul Islam, and Hainan Province’s Vice Governor.
On the sidelines of the forum, Prof. Yunus is expected to engage with CEOs of major global and Chinese corporations. He will also hold his first bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on March 28 to discuss issues of mutual interest.
On March 29, Prof. Yunus will deliver a lecture at Peking University (PKU), where he will be awarded an honorary doctorate. Additionally, he will engage with Chinese hospital chains to explore potential joint ventures in Bangladesh’s healthcare sector.
The Chief Adviser is scheduled to return home on March 29.
