Chief Justice reassigns jurisdictions of 67 High Court benches
Of these, 36 are division benches consisting of two judges each, while the remaining 31 are single-judge benches.
Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed has restructured the jurisdictions of 67 High Court benches, which will begin holding proceedings from November 16.
According to the notification, 36 of these are division benches comprising two judges each, while the remaining 31 are single-judge benches.
The list of reconstituted benches was published on the Supreme Court’s official website on Wednesday.
The notification further stated that the High Court benches will commence their judicial functions at 10:30am from November 16.
Earlier in the day, the chief justice administered the oath to 21 newly appointed permanent judges of the High Court Division.
