Bangladesh’s Semiconductor Roadshow 2026 has begun in Austin, Texas, bringing together global technology companies and Bangladeshi-origin semiconductor professionals to support the country’s growing deep-tech and semiconductor ambitions.

The Silicon River and BRAINGAIN USA Roadshow 2026 was officially launched on June 5, marking a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s efforts to establish itself as a globally connected hub for semiconductors and advanced technologies, according to a press release issued by the Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA).

A Bangladeshi delegation led by BSIA President M A Jabbar held discussions with senior executives from leading semiconductor firms, including AMD, NXP and Tokyo Electron (TEL). Talks centered on Bangladesh’s long-term semiconductor roadmap, talent development, innovation ecosystem and opportunities for technical and commercial collaboration.

Professor Muhammad Mustafa Hussain of Purdue University, Chief Architect of the Silicon River Bangladesh Initiative, outlined the country’s progress and future vision. He highlighted Bangladesh’s strengths in talent development, innovation, AI-driven semiconductor solutions, digital twin technologies, advanced packaging and industry-academia partnerships.

Bangladeshi technology companies, including Dynamic Solution Innovators (DSi), iTest Bangladesh Limited, Neural Semiconductor Limited and SILICONOVA Limited, also presented their technical expertise and business capabilities during the programme.

Organizers said participating companies welcomed Bangladesh’s technology-focused strategy and expressed interest in expanding engagement through technical cooperation, industry visits and broader involvement in the country’s emerging semiconductor sector.

On June 6, the Austin BRAINGAIN Reception brought together around 75 Bangladeshi-origin semiconductor professionals with a combined industry experience of more than 1,500 years.

Participants were briefed on the Silicon River vision and Bangladesh’s efforts to build a sustainable semiconductor ecosystem through research, entrepreneurship, workforce development and international partnerships.

The Austin programme received support from several Bangladeshi-origin semiconductor professionals, including Dr Sayeed Badrudduza of NXP, Samiul Khan of AMD and Joel Barnett of Tokyo Electron.

According to the release, the Silicon River and BRAINGAIN USA Roadshow will continue across several US cities to deepen collaboration between Bangladesh, the global semiconductor industry and the Bangladeshi diaspora.
