The July–September 2025 quarter saw record collections across all three major categories—Local VAT, Income and Travel Tax, and Import and Export duties.
The Local VAT segment posted the highest collection, totaling Tk 34,819 crore, reflecting a 29.74% growth from the Tk 26,838.49 crore collected in the same quarter last year. The NRB credited this strong performance to the dedication and efficiency of its officials and staff. It reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining this momentum through continued expansion of the tax base, enhanced compliance measures, strict action against evasion, and recovery of due taxes for deposit into the national exchequer.
