This slip allowed West Indies to overtake them, climbing to ninth with a five-point gain to reach 83 points. In the other two formats, Bangladesh remain ninth, with 62 rating points in Tests and 225 in T20 Internationals.
At the top of the Test Rankings, Australia continue their dominance with a rating of 126. The rest of the top 10 in Tests remains unchanged, featuring New Zealand in fifth, followed by Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe.
In the ODI format, India have further solidified their top position following their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 triumph, improving their rating from 122 to 124. New Zealand, the tournament’s runners-up, have risen to second place, pushing Australia down to third. Sri Lanka's impressive home performances, including series wins over India and Australia, have propelled them to fourth after gaining five rating points. Pakistan, with a modest gain of one point, now sit in fifth, while South Africa fell to sixth after losing four points. Afghanistan moved up to seventh with a four-point improvement, displacing England, who dropped to eighth after a four-point loss.
In T20 Internationals, India remain the top-ranked team, although their lead over second-placed Australia has narrowed from 10 to nine points. England are ranked third, with New Zealand, West Indies, and South Africa following in fourth, fifth, and sixth places respectively. Sri Lanka's upward trajectory continues as they now hold the seventh spot, moving ahead of Pakistan (8th). Bangladesh and Afghanistan round out the top ten.
The latest annual update by the ICC incorporates all matches played since May 2024 at full weight, while matches from the preceding two years are weighted at 50 percent.
