Adviser Faruk receives Tk 24 lakh contribution to the Chief Adviser’s relief fund

Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk E Azam, Bir Protik, today accepted a cheque for Tk 24 lakh from HDFC, Sinpower Ltd on behalf of the Chief Adviser to support people affected by the recent floods.

The contribution was handed over at the adviser’s office at the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, according to a press release issued by Md Enayet Hossain, Information and Public Relations Officer.

Faruk expressed his appreciation to the organisation for extending assistance to flood-affected families.

Disaster Management and Relief Secretary Md Mostafizur Rahman, Sinpower Ltd Managing Director Su Zhen and Head of Finance Liu Yize attended the handover event.

To date, the adviser has received 243 cheques, pay-orders and bank drafts totaling Tk 101 crore 40 lakh 72 thousand and 303 for the Chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund.
