11-party alliance defers planned press conference
The 11-party alliance has deferred its previously announced press conference, citing unavoidable circumstances.
The press briefing was scheduled for 4:30pm on Wednesday (14 January). The postponement was confirmed in a statement signed by Hamidur Rahman Azad, coordinator of the 11-party alliance.
According to the statement, the press conference could not be held at the scheduled time due to an unavoidable reason. A revised date and time will be announced later.
Earlier, Rashed Pradhan, vice-president and spokesperson of the National Democratic Party (NDP)—a member of the 11-party alliance—had said the alliance would unveil its final list of candidates on Wednesday evening.
In a Facebook post, he noted that, based on alliance sources, the much-anticipated final seat list for the 11-party alliance ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election was expected to be announced at 4:30pm on Wednesday, 14 January, Insha’Allah.
