Government To Procure 50,000 MTs Gasoline

The government today gave its in-principle approval to a proposal for procuring 50,000 metric tons (MTs) of gasoline to meet the country’s growing energy demand.
The approval came at the 38th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP), held at the Cabinet Division Conference Room in the Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.
Acting on a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, the meeting endorsed the plan to import 50,000 MT of Gasoline 95 Unleaded (Octane) from PT Bumi Siak Pusako Zapin (BSP), Indonesia, between July and December 2025, at a cost of Tk 413.44 crore.
