Global investors encouraged by Yunus to explore opportunities in Bangladesh

Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, speaking at the formal inauguration of the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025 on Wednesday, urged global investors to bring their businesses to Bangladesh and be part of a movement to change the world. Highlighting the nation’s innovative spirit, he remarked, "Bangladesh is a country of crazy ideas... Bangladesh makes it happen." Organized by the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (Bida), the summit aims to showcase the country’s growing investment potential and recent economic reforms. Distinguished speakers included Oscar Garcia from Spain, Rosy Winterton from the United Kingdom, and Nasim Manzur from Bangladesh. Bida Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun presented a detailed overview of the country’s business opportunities, while Lutfey Siddiqi, the Chief Adviser’s Special Envoy on International Affairs, moderated the session. The four-day event, which began on Monday, brings together global investors, top business leaders, and policymakers to build long-term investment pipelines and foster sustainable economic growth in the wake of the July uprising.
