BNP has taken initiatives to clean up the ‘July 36 Expressway’ venue.
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s (BNP) Dhaka North City unit has undertaken an extensive cleanup drive at the “July 36 Expressway” — popularly known as the 300-feet road — in the Purbachal area of the capital, which was used for the public address of its Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
The comprehensive initiative involves workers from the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), BNP activists, and around 300 hired cleaners, who are working to remove accumulated garbage and debris from the site.
The cleanup operation began this morning in front of the stage constructed for Tarique Rahman, marking his return to national politics after 17 years in exile.
The programme is being led by Aminul Haque, convener of BNP’s Dhaka North unit. A total of 16 trucks have been deployed to swiftly transport the waste, while 300 cleaning personnel have been brought in from different parts of the capital.
DNCC cleaning staff are also actively engaged in clearing rubbish from the roadway.
Additionally, the BNP has announced plans to plant new trees to replace those damaged along the roadside due to the massive turnout at the public meeting.
