Bangladesh Suffers Series Sweep to Pakistan After 7-Wicket Loss in 3rd T20I

Mohammad Haris showcased an extraordinary display of power-hitting as he led Pakistan to a seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the third and final T20 International at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday. This win completed a commanding 3-0 series sweep for Pakistan.
Chasing a challenging target of 197 runs, Haris took charge of the innings from the outset. He blasted an unbeaten 107 runs off just 46 deliveries, striking eight boundaries and seven sixes. His explosive innings ensured Pakistan reached the target comfortably with 16 balls to spare.
Pakistan’s chase began on a shaky note when Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed in the very first over by Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz. However, the hosts quickly regained control through a rapid 92-run partnership between Haris and Saim Ayub. Ayub contributed a well-paced 45 runs off 29 balls before being dismissed in the 10th over.
After Ayub’s departure, Hasan Nawaz added quickfire 26 runs, keeping the momentum alive. The Pakistan captain, Salman Agha, remained unbeaten on 15 and partnered Haris in an unbroken 60-run stand that sealed the win at 197 for 3 in just 17.2 overs.
Bangladesh’s bowlers found it difficult to maintain control on a flat and batter-friendly pitch. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the standout bowler, picking up 2 wickets for 26 runs, while the rest of the bowling attack struggled to contain the aggressive Pakistani batsmen, conceding numerous boundaries under relentless pressure.
Earlier, Bangladesh set a competitive total of 196 for 6 after being sent in to bat first. The innings was anchored by an excellent opening partnership of 110 runs between Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan. Emon was particularly impressive, scoring 66 runs off just 34 balls, which included seven fours and four sixes. Tanzid Hasan supported well, contributing 42 runs from 32 deliveries.
Despite losing their openers in quick succession, the middle order kept the scoreboard ticking steadily. Captain Litton Das added 22 runs, while Towhid Hridoy chipped in with a useful 25. In the closing overs, Jaker Ali and Tanzim Sakib played crucial cameo shots that pushed Bangladesh’s total close to the 200-run mark.
However, Pakistan’s powerful batting lineup proved too strong on the day, as they comfortably chased down the target to complete a dominant series victory.
