Army chief is known for expressing his views openly, says adviser Sakhawat
General Waker-Uz-Zaman only speaks after thoroughly understanding the matter, says adviser

Labour and Employment Adviser M Sakhawat Hussain today praised Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, describing him as a "straightforward and highly respected leader."
"He leads the force with integrity and never speaks without a clear understanding of the matter. From what I know, he is an exceptionally straightforward person—very, very straightforward," Sakhawat, a retired brigadier general, told journalists.
Speaking at a press conference in Dhaka, the adviser commended the army chief's direct approach.
"He always speaks his mind. I hold him in high regard. However, I am not in a position to interpret his remarks," Sakhawat said during the press meet, which was held to brief journalists on the closure of 14 textile and garment units inside Beximco Industrial Park.
His comments came in response to journalists' questions regarding General Waker-Uz-Zaman's February 25 speech, which honored the officers killed in the 2009 Pilkhana carnage and drew significant media attention.
