New Zealand captain Tom Latham declared on Sunday that his team's 3-0 Test series victory in India ranks among the "greatest series wins" for the nation.

The Black Caps clinched the third Test by 25 runs at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, handing India only their second home series whitewash. After suffering a 2-0 defeat in Sri Lanka in September, New Zealand turned their fortunes around to inflict India's first Test series loss at home in 12 years.

“It’s undoubtedly a significant moment for New Zealand cricket, likely one of the greatest series wins in our history,” Latham remarked. “All we can do is continue playing cricket and stay true to our brand of cricket. We’ve felt a lot of support over the past couple of weeks, which is incredibly special.”

New Zealand is set to host England for three Tests starting November 28 in Christchurch, followed by matches in Wellington and Hamilton.

Latham added, “We have three more important games back home. We’re expecting sell-out crowds for a couple of those matches, which is everything a cricketer could hope for.”

Ajaz Patel, a Mumbai-born spinner for New Zealand, was a standout performer in the final Test, achieving a match haul of 11 wickets with his left-arm spin. He took five wickets in the first innings and six in the second, helping to bowl out India for 121 in their chase of 147. Latham praised his match-winning performance as "fantastic."
