The search committee is requesting nominations for the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners
Proposed names should be submitted by 5 PM on November 7.
On Sunday, the Election Commission search committee requested nominations for qualified candidates to fill the positions of chief election commissioner (CEC) and other election commissioners (ECs).
According to a press statement signed by Cabinet Division Joint Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Sarker, “Political parties and professional organizations may submit the names of up to five recommended candidates for the CEC and other EC positions by 5 PM on November 7, 2024.”
Additionally, individuals may also independently propose their own names, the statement added.
