Five reform commissions are scheduled to submit their reports on January 15

Four advisers of the interim government convened meetings with the heads of the reform commissions on Saturday. During the discussions, the reform commission chiefs provided updates on their progress and shared key insights about their work.
Sources indicate that five of the six reform commissions established in the first phase are expected to submit their reports to the chief adviser on January 15. Meanwhile, the judiciary reform commission has been granted an extension until January 31. The meetings were held throughout the day at the Transparency International, Bangladesh (TIB) office located at the MIDAS Center in Dhaka. Participating advisers included Asif Nazrul (law affairs), Syeda Rizwana Hasan (environment, forest, and climate change), Fouzul Kabir Khan (energy), and Adilur Rahman (industries).
According to sources, the interim government plans to engage political parties in a dialogue on the reform proposals after the commission reports are submitted. A national unity commission, comprising the chiefs of the six reform commissions, is expected to lead the dialogue under the guidance of Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The coordination meeting with the reform commission leaders was part of the preparatory steps leading to this dialogue.
