Former PMO Principal Secretary Nojibur Rahman has been arrested.

Detectives from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and ex-chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Md Nojibur Rahman, in Dhaka's Gulshan area late Sunday.

The arrest was confirmed by Rezaul Karim Mallik, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-DB) of the DMP, who stated that Nojibur would be presented before a Dhaka court on Monday.

Nojibur previously served as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and NBR chairman during the tenure of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
