Earthquake jolts Dhaka, Sylhet, and various regions of Bangladesh
The epicenter was identified in neighboring Myanmar.
A tremor was experienced in Dhaka, Sylhet, and several other parts of Bangladesh on Friday morning.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the earthquake’s epicenter was in neighboring Myanmar. Rubayet Kabir, the acting officer of the Earthquake Observation and Research Center, stated that the quake was recorded at 10:32 am with a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter, situated 482 kilometers from Dhaka in Myanmar, impacted northeastern regions of Bangladesh, including Sylhet and its surrounding areas, Kabir further noted.
