Students from 30 colleges protest against violence against women at Shahbagh.

Students from 30 colleges in the capital gathered at Shahbagh to demand the highest punishment for perpetrators of violence, rape, and abuse against women.
Arriving in small processions, they took position in front of the National Museum on Tuesday afternoon.
Most of the protesters were higher secondary students, chanting slogans such as "Who are you, who am I, we are together," "Justice, justice, we want justice," "We demand the death penalty for rapists," "No place for rapists in our golden Bengal," and "Set fire to the rapists' seats."
Initially, the students had planned to blockade Shahbagh but decided against it to avoid public inconvenience during Ramadan. Instead, they continued a sit-in protest on an adjacent empty road near the National Museum until the evening.
