Special prayers were held at Baitul Mukarram for Khaleda Zia

Special prayers were offered after Jummah prayers across the country on Friday, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

At the national mosque Baitul Mukarram, a special doa was held following the Jummah prayers, led by the mosque’s khatib Maulana Abdul Malek, with general worshippers joining the doa and munajat.

Many devotees were seen in tears as they prayed for Begum Khaleda Zia.

Similar special prayers were also held at various religious institutions nationwide.

Earlier, the Islamic Foundation announced in an official letter issued on Tuesday (30 December) that special prayers for the eternal peace of Begum Khaleda Zia’s departed soul would be offered after Jummah prayers at all mosques across the country on Friday.
