Bangladesh Strongly Condemns Houthi Attack on Riyadh Airport That Killed Two Bangladeshis
Bangladesh has strongly condemned the Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 10, which killed two Bangladeshi nationals and injured several others, many of them critically.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Sunday, the government said the Bangladesh mission in Riyadh was in contact with Saudi authorities to gather information about the deceased and injured Bangladeshis and provide necessary assistance to those affected.
The government expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, including those of the Bangladeshi victims, and prayed for the speedy and full recovery of the injured.
“Attacks endangering civilian lives and targeting civilian infrastructure are unacceptable and must cease immediately,” the statement said.
Bangladesh also reaffirmed its strong solidarity with the government and people of Saudi Arabia in the wake of the attack.
The government called for an immediate end to hostilities, the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and a peaceful resolution of the ongoing crisis through dialogue and diplomacy to safeguard regional peace, security and stability.
