Bogura-6: Tarique Rahman’s nomination papers validated
The nomination papers of Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman Sohel for the same constituency have also been declared valid.
The nomination paper of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been found valid for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
The decision was announced at around 10:20am on Saturday (January 3) after the scrutiny of nomination papers by Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Md Toufiqul Rahman.
He said the verification process found no irregularities in Tarique Rahman’s nomination, leading to its approval.
Earlier, on Monday (December 29) at about 2:20pm, the nomination paper on Tarique Rahman’s behalf was submitted to the Bogura District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Md Toufiqul Rahman by district BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha, who is also serving as the election coordinator for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) seat.
Meanwhile, the nomination paper of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman Sohel for the same constituency has also been declared valid.
