"Japanese Ambassador Holds Meeting with BNP Secretary General"

On Sunday, Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Saida Shinichi, met with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the party chairperson's Gulshan office in Dhaka. The meeting was also attended by BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid.

Following the meeting, Amir Khasru briefed the media, stating that discussions covered several topics, including the health condition of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, her return home, trade, investment, and the upcoming elections. He highlighted that Japan has consistently been a development partner of Bangladesh and expressed Japan's interest in maintaining a positive working relationship with the new government in the future.

Khasru emphasized Japan's significant investments in Bangladesh and its plans for further investment in the country. He also mentioned that Japan is keen on the election timeline and is hopeful for the restoration of democratic order in Bangladesh.
