BNP warns that stability is at risk if the government fails to take action

The BNP has raised concerns about the country's current situation, warning that stability could be at risk if the government fails to prove its ability to manage emerging challenges.
"If the government cannot effectively handle the ongoing situation, both the state and the government will face serious threats to their stability," the party stated in a press release last night.
Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi cautioned that the current conditions could pave the way for the return of defeated fascists, along with extremist, anarchist, and anti-democratic forces, both domestic and foreign.
"The signs of such a resurgence are already apparent," the statement added. The BNP urged the interim government to take immediate and decisive steps to bring the situation under control.
"Otherwise, chaos will spread nationwide. It is now crucial for the state and the government to assert their authority by strictly enforcing law and order," the statement emphasized.
The party also criticized the interim government for what it described as a failure to take effective and visible action over the past six months to bring fugitive autocrats and their allies to justice. This inaction, the BNP claimed, has emboldened individuals to take the law into their own hands and engage in unlawful activities.
"If people resort to taking the law into their own hands while a government is in power, it risks damaging the government's reputation both domestically and internationally," the statement warned.
The BNP further highlighted increasing public unrest, noting that people from various backgrounds are taking to the streets with diverse demands, often engaging in what it termed as "mob culture."
According to the party, this growing trend is causing widespread public suffering, while the government has failed to demonstrate the necessary competence to address these challenges through appropriate measures.
