Bangladesh is poised to begin nuclear power generation as fuel has been loaded into the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP).
The first batch of uranium fuel was officially loaded into Unit 1 of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) on Tuesday afternoon, marking the final step before the country begins its first nuclear power generation.
Science and Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam inaugurated the fuel loading process, while International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Mariano Grossi joined the event virtually to welcome the milestone.
