Amir Khosru: Democracy will be restored through February elections

BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said Friday that democracy in Bangladesh will be restored through the upcoming national elections, expected to be held in February.
Speaking at the inauguration of a Small and Cottage Industry Fair at Barishal District Shilpakala Academy, he said the BNP is preparing for the polls while people across the country are eagerly waiting to cast their votes. “This election will allow citizens to choose their representatives and government, ensuring that their fundamental concerns are heard. An elected government will be accountable and responsible to the people,” he said.
Khosru also emphasized the need to broaden the economy beyond a small elite and connect it with ordinary citizens. Highlighting the role of small and cottage industries, he said these sectors must be integrated into international markets to help accelerate Bangladesh’s economic growth.
