BNP and its affiliated bodies continue to voice strong opposition to what they describe as Indian aggression, emphasizing the importance of Bangladesh's sovereignty and independence. On Wednesday, Jubo Dal President Abdul Munayem Munna reaffirmed their commitment to resist any threats through collective action. Speaking at a rally at Akhaura Land Port after a long march from Dhaka to Agartala, Munna asserted that BNP, in collaboration with the people, would thwart any conspiracies against the nation.

He urged Indian politicians and media outlets to cease spreading false propaganda about Bangladesh, accusing them of engaging in "information terrorism." Munna noted that similar protests, including a road march in Dhaka and a memorandum submission to the Indian High Commission, have been organized to oppose anti-Bangladesh activities and ensure the safety of Bangladeshi missions in India. He vowed that these protests would persist.

The long march, initiated by three BNP-affiliated organizations—Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Swechchasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal—began at Nayapaltan, Dhaka, around 9 am and concluded at Akhaura Land Port by 4 pm. The procession included hundreds of vehicles, with leaders and supporters joining from districts like Brahmanbaria, Comilla, Feni, Noakhali, and Sylhet, many bearing flags and banners.

Rallies along the route amplified their demands. At Bhairab intersection, Swechchasebak Dal President SM Jilani criticized India’s support for Sheikh Hasina, labeling her as an "enemy of Bangladesh," and expressed skepticism about India's friendship with the country. Jubo Dal General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan accused India of violating Bangladesh's sovereignty, citing the desecration of the national flag and other incidents.

Enhanced security measures were evident at Akhaura Land Port, with multiple tiers of law enforcement, including village police, regular police, and BGB members, ensuring the event proceeded peacefully. A barricade restricted access near the customs station, and cross-border passenger flow remained limited compared to usual levels.

Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib alleged that India was orchestrating unrest in Bangladesh to support Sheikh Hasina's regime. Other speakers highlighted that the long march symbolized the unity of the Bangladeshi people under BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in resisting any external or internal aggression.

The day's events concluded with a rally at Akhaura, reiterating the demand to end misinformation campaigns and calling for investigations into incidents like the attack on Bangladesh’s Assistant High Commission in Agartala. Earlier, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi had inaugurated the march, decrying what he called undue subservience to Delhi, and affirming the party’s determination to uphold the country’s independence and dignity.
