Titumir College closed down as students demand university status
They demanded the appointment of a Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor within 48 hours.

The students of Dhaka's Government Titumir College have issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding its transformation into a university.
On Tuesday morning, they launched the "Shutdown Titumir" program, suspending all classes and examinations.
These decisions were announced following a meeting on Monday night (27 January) by Titumir Oikko (Titumir Unity), the organization leading the university transformation movement.
The students warned that if their demands are not met within the deadline, they will block roads and railways in Mohakhali starting Thursday.
Their demands include upgrading Government Titumir College to a university within 48 hours and establishing its administrative framework. They also called for appointing a Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor during this time to formalize the university's administration.
