The National Defence College (NDC) has graduated 152 participants from its two flagship strategic-level programmes for 2025, comprising senior military officers, civil servants, and representatives from 18 friendly nations.

According to a press release from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday, 96 participants completed the National Defence Course (NDC). Among them were 49 officers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, 18 senior civil servants, and 29 international officers.

Another 56 officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force graduated from the Armed Forces War Course (AFWC).

The college marked the completion of both programmes with a graduation dinner on Tuesday at the Army Multipurpose Complex in Dhaka Cantonment.

Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, Commandant of NDC, attended as the chief guest.

Lt Gen Haque congratulated the graduates on completing what he described as two of the nation’s most demanding strategic-leadership programmes. He also commended the faculty and staff for their dedication to delivering the courses.

Senior participants from the armed forces, civil administration, and partner nations also spoke at the event, expressing gratitude for the college’s support and highlighting the programmes’ importance in preparing them for higher leadership roles.

Both courses aim to cultivate strategic thinking and strengthen professional expertise in national security, defence planning, and civil-military policymaking.
