Chief Adviser meets with Jamaat-e-Islami

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today held discussions with leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami on the upcoming national elections and the current political situation.

The meeting was held at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka.

According to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, a four-member Jamaat delegation, led by Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Md Taher, attended the talks. The other members were Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Rafiqul Islam Khan, and Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad.

National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman and Industry Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan were also present at the meeting.

Later in the day, the Chief Adviser is scheduled to meet representatives of the National Citizen Party (NCP) at 6 pm and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) at 7:30 pm.
