Both Sides Agree to Cut Tariffs by 115 Percentage Points

The United States and China have announced a significant de-escalation in their trade dispute, agreeing to sharply reduce reciprocal tariffs for a 90-day period. The agreement was confirmed in a joint statement following two days of trade negotiations in Geneva.
"We have reached an agreement on a 90-day pause," said U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, noting that "both sides will reduce their tariffs by 115 percentage points."
