Ten more children have died from measles, with symptoms appearing within 24 hours.
Ten more children died in the 24 hours leading up to Sunday morning—nine from measles-related symptoms and one from a confirmed case of measles.
During the same period, Bangladesh recorded 1,166 new suspected cases and 95 confirmed infections, according to a health bulletin from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS reported that since 15 March, the total number of confirmed measles cases has reached 5,313, while suspected cases have risen to 40,491.
Over this period, 50 deaths have been attributed to confirmed measles, while 244 fatalities were recorded among suspected cases.
A total of 24,090 patients have recovered so far, the DGHS added.
