US Special Envoy Sergio Gor Arrives in Dhaka to Boost Bilateral Relations

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen has welcomed the arrival of US Special Envoy to South and Central Asia Ambassador Sergio Gor, saying the visit will further strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation on regional issues.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Ambassador Christensen described Gor as a friend and expressed his pleasure at welcoming him to Bangladesh.

“I am delighted to welcome to Bangladesh my friend, the US Special Envoy to South and Central Asia, Ambassador Sergio Gor. His visit will strengthen US-Bangladesh strategic ties and regional security and economic cooperation,” Christensen said.

Gor's visit is expected to reinforce strategic engagement between Bangladesh and the United States, with discussions likely to focus on regional security, economic cooperation and broader bilateral partnership.
