The death toll from measles has risen to 280, with a growing number of cases showing symptoms

The combined death toll from measles and related symptoms has climbed to 280 over the past one and a half months, with four additional deaths from measles-like symptoms reported in the 24 hours up to শুক্রবার সকাল.

No deaths from confirmed measles cases were recorded during this period.

Since the outbreak began on 15 March, a total of 231 people have died from measles-like symptoms, while 39 others died from confirmed infections. Most of the victims are children.

Between 8am বৃহস্পতিবার and 8am শুক্রবার, 115 new measles cases were confirmed, while 1,170 more people were reported to have measles-like symptoms.
